2005: year in review

2005 wont soon be forgotten, not by me anyway. the year had it ups and downs, downs mostly…one would think that leaving university would be a wonderful experience that opens new doors for young professionals; that attaining tertiary level education would put the student on a straight path to sucess. who would ever beleive that i would have to go through over 20 interviews and 20 rejection letters before finally getting ajob (fortunatley its one i enjoy)…the experience was eye-opening….its given me a better understanding of why the country is stuck in this cycle of crime and poverty…If I, a UWI graduate cant find work in good ole jamaica how can someone who hasnt attained a secondary level education sustain himself/herself? what choice is thier but to tuck a gun into your belt and “rob a bwoy”. Dont get it wrong..im not endorsing violence but really..weh di ppl dem fi do? Things look bleak for 2006…this raas pnp party election is doing nothing but sapping the countries resources…How the candidates find so much money for campaigning…i though the counrty was poor….unu memba when the PNP did promise seh we woulda be:pothole free” or when dem did seh the highway would finish?? ah well, just another year in good ole JA…
